NORWEGIAN KROON-OIL MOTORCYCLE RIDER SECOND IN DAKAR 2010

27-01-2010

The Norwegian motorcycle rider Pal Anders Ullevalseter is a frequent participant in the Dakar Rally. He is sponsored by our Norwegian distributor Norsk Industriolje AS and is a so-called Kroon-Oil driver. Now we are proud to inform you about his fantastic performance in the Dakar Rally: he finished second overall!

Pal Anders started his Dakar-career in 2002 and was then the first Norwegian driver. It was a dream debut. He finished in 9th place. Since then he has climbed upwards for every year and has one of the better Dakar score sheets: 9th in 2002, 7th in 2003 and 5th in 2004. In 2005, a fall and a broken collarbone forced him to withdraw. Finally, he was able to live up to his reputation and get back on track in 2006 with a 6th position. In 2007 he finished 4th. Last year he gained 6th position.

This year he managed to reach his ultimate goal, to stand on the podium in Dakar Rally. It was a tough race, but a dream has come true. Pal Anders fought for podium position with Francisco Lopez Contardo and Helder Rodrigues. It was a really interesting and open match, since none of the riders had technical or physical problems. The experience of Pal Anders paid off and he won his first special stage and gained second position overall. Francisco Lopez ranked third and Helder Rodriques fourth.

Kroon-Oil congratulates Pal Anders Ullevalseter with this more than excellent achievement!
